Richard Petty Driving School

Just got back from vacation in Florida and attended the Richard Petty driving experience at the Walt Disney speedway. What a blast!!! I highly recommend taking this class. Big to the whole crew for such a great time!!

I did it last year and drove the Pennzoil #1 car. It is a blast and I recommend it to everyone too.

Look. All my fans showed up too!

Don't forget about Team Texas at Texas Motor Speedway. www.teamtexas.com It is run by Mike Starr, uncle of David Starr, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series #75 Spears Racing and Busch Series #54 Holigan Racing/Enzyte. David is a friend of mine and he has driven my Z06. Man can he shift gears!

May I suggest upgrading to the driving part, eight laps, it a gas!!

When I got done they asked how it was, and I told 'em that I two problems, #1, didn't get to stay out long enough, and #2. wouldn't let me go any faster, and as I was waiting for the rest to finish I came up with another, couldn't get rid of the grin

Ted

I would have to agree that the "Driving Experience" was a great time. It does go by way too fast.
I do, however, know of something that is even more fun. Take your Z to a "Drivers Education Event" at your local track. I went to a PCA event last spring, got hooked, and attended 4 more events last year. Driving fast sure is fun!!

I agree, did two Mid-Ohio driving schools in the past. Last year did a DE with a Cobra Club at Mid Ohio that was more fun. Got another scheduled for Putnam Park in June. These are more fun than autox, it's all about seat time and going fast.

I have done all of the Petty's school (4) I have also done Andy Hildebrand Fast Track School in Charlotte. I have had a total of 400 laps around Lowes Motorspeed Way. Both schools are great but The Fast Track advanced class was the best. No instructor car in front of you and they put us out there with 8 other cars. We could pass and go as fast as we wanted as long as we were undercontrol. If they saw us getting squirrelly they gave us a red flags and we had to slow down and start climbing speed again. I averaged 172 mph at the end of the class. The last day we had a guy that had a massive heat attack, He hit the wall in the 4th turn and died. At first they thought he justs messed up but later on they said it was heart failure.
