We could pass and go as fast as we wanted as long as we were undercontrol. If they saw us getting squirrelly they gave us a red flags and we had to slow down and start climbing speed again. I averaged 172 mph at the end of the class. The last day we had a guy that had a massive heat attack, He hit the wall in the 4th turn and died. At first they thought he justs messed up but later on they said it was heart failure.
Since ovals are so dangerous--hard walls and no runoff--I assume you wear full fire gear, and the car has all NASCAR safety gear?
