Here is a clip from Sunday afternoon from Road America with Speed Seekers. The weather was 50 degrees and sunny, so traction wasn't the greatest, but it was still fun. Here I am mixing it up with a new Porsche GT3, which was no slouch.
Great video. I felt like I was right there in the passenger seat with you. At one point, my wife looked over at me and wondered what I was doing moving side to side, I said what are you talking about. Guess I was imagining what it would be like running on that track.

BBunting, nice video and some good driving especially with the cool weather. I went to the Speedseeker event in the Spring and last Fall, but couldn't make this one. Thanks for sharing the video and memories of a super track. Hope to hook up with you next year.
It looks like you had a very similar experience to mine with the GT3. I raced against one for the first time at the Runoffs last month and was very surprised at how fast the car accelerated out of the corners.
Road America looks like a very fast, fun track. But, it also appears that there are so many places that a spin would be catastrophic with all that speed.
Probably tough on brakes as well!
How was Speed Seakers as a group? I've never run with them.
Thanks for the vid - that was great.
The GT3 is a great track car - definitely no slouch. It's nice to have some worthy competition out there. The driver was pretty good too. You certainly got his attention
That S2000 must have felt totally owned !

Great Video Brian,
I grew up in the Chicago area and we used to make the weekend two or three times a year when CanAm and TransAm and the June Sprints were a big deal in the late 60's!!
I've always loved that track and would love to just drive it!!
You done GOOD BUD!!
you are corect-the GT3 comes off the corners quick because he can get into the power earlier-I also think that the gearing is to his advantage as well-he really darted away where I was between gears.
Road America is KILLER on brakes-all the talk about how good the stock brakes are...I replaced new rotors after three sessions-and I have the braking mods....I did like the challenge-I have two more hours of footage I have to find some bandwidth to post it all!
Does anyone know an more on the silver Z06 that crashed on Saturday there? Is he a member here? I wasn't there but I know several of the SVT guys that were there this weekend.
