Those are good times, give me something to measure against. I did a 2:29 once at RA, if it wasn't a bad time, usually was doint 2:34,2:35. GIN 1:32, BFR 1:21. All with a stock car with Toyo RA1, but I still have a ways to go!

1:32 is pretty damn good if you have a stock car. Consider that in the last Corvette Quarterly, Johnny O'Connell took a stock 04Z06 down to 1:34.9 and a C6 to 1:36. Granted that the article says he had never been to Gingerman before, so he can probably find a few more tics, but this is still Johnny O.
My question is... what is a full T1 SCCA prep worth over a completely stock Z06, including tires???????? Assume same conditions and same driver. It has to be way less than 10 seconds per lap on a road course of this length, no?

Joe,
The Grattan time quoted above by Lance is the T1 track record. The SCCA results sheet indicates if the time is below the track record and that one was.
I'm guessing, but my estimate is that a fully prepped T1 Z06 is 3-5% faster than a completely stock Z06, or a couple of seconds per 60 seconds of lap.

I think there might be an error on that track record, I think it is Grattan, not Gingerman.
One reason: the Gingerman race is in April, not September.
Second reason: the Grattan race was in September
Third reason: Lance says he set the record at Grattan in September, not Gingerman.
Fourth reason: Lance is fast, but not six seconds faster than me! I ran 1:30s (I think), Lance & Freddy Baker were in the 1:29s in April.

David... uh, that's a pretty convincing list.
I edited my post to say Grattan not Gingerman. I've never driven Gingerman so had no idea how far off that time was. Sorry all for the confusion.
That 1:24 has gotta be Grattan. That's what Brad said in the first place...
The key question at Grattan - do you "get air" on that "jump" at the end of the short back straight!!?? - what a wild and fun track!!
Actually I did say Gingerman, but edited my post.
Sure felt like you get air from inside the car. The few times I followed another T1 car over that "jump" it sure looked like air under the tires. Probably wasn't, but what a ride that place is...
If I'm not wrong (prior to getting my lap timer), my best at Gin ("dash" timed!) was 1:32 w/ stock + Toyo Z. Somebody should get into high 1:20's w. T1 / better driver. Again, my time could have been wrong...
Have we met? I was at 15+ DEs this year, mostly Porsche, BMW hosted. RA, Gin, BFR, Grattan. I've got a Yellow Z - had Green 99 Cobra Conv w/ rollbar previous years. I'm in Evanston.

A good time for Gingerman has got to be low 1:30's for a T1 car.
