Last NSCA American Super Car Challenge Vette vs Viper race of the season is this weekend Sep 18, 2004 at National Trial Raceway in Hebron, OH just outside of Columbus.
You can race heads-up in a class that will ensure that you can be comptetive if you run low 12s or better.
Or just come on out and support the Corvette spankin' the Vipers. In addition to our race you can watch the quickest and fast Street cars in the nation with many in the six's
I found out what happened to my rear. Blew the posi unt, all the gears axle and spider gears are gone.. I'm trying to get it fixed so I can put some miles on it but I'm not sure that will happen.
I'll keep you posted..

Ernie, you saying if you get the miles on it, you can make it to Ohio? I had mine rebuilt and was told it was very worn and that I even wore out the clutch packs (whatever that means)
JAvery, how like is it that you can make it and which class would you run? Trying to get a head count cause there will be video crews out there for a television show shoot so if you can make it, you might get on TV.
If I can get the rear back and get it installed, that's the problem.. I'm not to worried about putting miles on it.
I'll see if I can use Mikes tires again. But I rather run with the ET'S.
Ernie
Ernie, send ned@rollingthunderz.com an email. He is considering allowing other wheels and tires in Genuine but the there would be a weight penalty to compensate. I think he is talking about 3400# car weight (not car and driver) to run non stockers.
Buzz, this will be my first year attending this event in OH, however I have attended the two events in MD and there are many spectators but not overcrowded.
You can watch from up close or up high, walk the pits, walk the manufacturers midway and shop for part and stuff.
You will see 15 different classes of all door cars as low a 6 and a half seconds.
If you are going to race with us, the Corvette Viper ASCC "class" has only started this year so participation has been light though there is big promise for tunout for this event to be around a dozen cars (for ASCC only in total there will be close to 150 cars)
If you are coming to all cars, come Saturday as early as you want, say 8:30 am and stay till the end of the day. Saturday will work like this..
Open Time Trials 8:30-11:30am
qualifying 12 pm (about two hours for all cars)
qualifying again around 3 pm
Special races in the 6 pm to 7 pm range which is where you will see our Vette Viper ASCC racing.
Sorry guys, I still don't have the rear in the car.. It's on it's way back today but I don't think the shop will be able to get to me in time.. I was going to leave sometime on Friday but that looks like it's out the window.
