sic....Low weight Carb(on)Fiber Harness Bar

Hardbar has just announced a 3 lb Harness Bar!!!!!

It is a Low weight Carbon Fiber Bar with Aluminum Tips weighing in a 3 lbs. !!!!!!!!

Traditionally the advantage of a harness bar was to reduce weight in cars that did not need a rollbar/cage system....but still needed a harness attatchment point with added chassis stiffness.
However, they were still 40 some odd pounds that were mounted up high above the roll center & CG.

Sounds great...too bad those pictures don't show the complete assembly. I do wonder about pricing also.

DJ, what are your thoughts on the strength of the C5/Z06 "hoop" that acts as rollover protection on the car? Do you think (or have you seen data) it is strong enough to keep the cabin intact in a severe rollover? The only reason I have a rollbar is as extra protection, but if I see some data that the factory built-in "hoop" does its job then I'm happy to drop 80lbs of weight and bolt in one of Gary's new bars.
