Solo I Track events/Track Time/ Fun Days? What Mods?

What mods would you do/allowed to do/required to do to be minimally competitve for SCCA Solo I Track Events or Track Time/Fun Days? Why? What Priority?

Well, Solo I requires a 4-point rollbar, 5- or 6-point harnesses, a fire extinguisher, a helmet, and long pants and sleeves. In addition, anyone at this level probably has done lots of driving schools so I would highly recommend better brake pads and fluid. Otherwise the car is fine as is. Maybe some grippy tires if you feel you need them.

Lots of times at Solo I events there are barely more than 1 or 2 cars to compete with a C5, so you can usually win by default whether you are good or not

Definitely the safety stuff mentioned above.
Better pads. If you do solo1 you want something that get's upto temp quick. You usually only get 1/2 lap warmup and then full bore for 3 laps with your best lap counting.
Hoosiers are a must if you really want good times.
Alignment is critical, shocks and swaybars would help a great deal.
No substitute for knowledge of that track and several 100 hours of seat time there.
Walk the tracks during lunch. You would be amazed what you learn about some of the turns, camber, etc.. sometimes.

Above was for solo1.
For regular track weekends just good pads and fluid and a better alignment to more evenly wear tires.
The car is good as is for practice.
