Definitely the safety stuff mentioned above.
Better pads. If you do solo1 you want something that get's upto temp quick. You usually only get 1/2 lap warmup and then full bore for 3 laps with your best lap counting.
Hoosiers are a must if you really want good times.
Alignment is critical, shocks and swaybars would help a great deal.
No substitute for knowledge of that track and several 100 hours of seat time there.
Walk the tracks during lunch. You would be amazed what you learn about some of the turns, camber, etc.. sometimes.
