Some questions

I went to the track today. First time with the Z06. First time launching it too. I was on stock tires, but track prep was very good.I only ran twice, with a small fear of breaking things I took off very easily.

A poor 60 ft: 2.15

1/8: 8.58 @ 87.25

1/4: 13.06 @ 108.03

I am disappointed in these times, and I know I can improve, but I have a few questions.

I shifter at 6500 each gear both times and I hit the limiter and it felt like fuel cut off each time, It bogged down each shift both times. I was using the normal tach. Is it possible that my Tach is delayed, and that was hurting my MPH and times a little. Each gear it hit rev limiter and bogged a little.

I'm very confident with a couple more runs and some Nitto's and I can get some 1.8 60 fts, and low 12 sec. passes with better weather.

Not too bad for your 1st time out with a Z06. I think most of the factory tachs are a little bit slow, I know mine is, so you should probably try shifting at 6300 or so. The factory rev limiter setting is 6600rpm, so you need to give yourself a few hundred rpm cushion for the shifts. I feel everytime you hit the revlimiter on a 1/4 mile run you are costing yourself at least a tenth in ET. So if you hit it on all 3 shifts, that's at least 3 tenths. If you stay off the limiter next time you go out to the track you will be around 12.7/12.8. Also every tenth you drop off your 60ft time should get you 2 tenths at the end of the 1/4. Check out Rangers post on Z06 launch techniques, it will definitely help you out. Good luck and have fun. You need to tell us what kind of tires you are running. HTH
