I just got back from the level 1 driving program there and all i can say is WOW! I thought I was an OK driver before I went but boy was I wrong. This simply put was the most fun (other than my honeymoon) three days that I ever had. THe instruction was excelent and now I feel like i am actualy a MUCH better than average driver. All of the students drove over 360 miles on the track in new ZO6's. If you have never dirven your Z to the edge on a race track you do not know what you are missing. It shoud be mandatory. if anyone has any questions please feel free to E-mail me for more insite. Remember the best mod is the driver mod
I went there twice when it was still Bragg-Smith.
I am going again in Nov. - can't wait.
It is a great way to satisfy your "need for speed" and learn at the same time. Many people will never know their full potential - or the full potential of this amazing car

I'm sure Bondurat is good. For that matter any driving school is good. What Spring Mountain offers that seems to surpass all the other schools at this level is seat time. During my 3 day course I put OVER 360 on a current year Z06. And I am sure everyone else will agree that nothing replaces seat time. From what I have heard (if i am wrong correct me) no other school can give you that much seat time in a Z06 or for that matter any car. Since I drive a Z I wanted to only drive a Z not a CTS or Mustang. The bottom line is that I have never heard of any one haveing a bad time at any driving school but these are the resonse I chose Spring Mountain
My brother and I went in '02. Totally awesome, I've been to Skip Barber and Jim Russell also, but I have to say that I had the most fun at Bragg-Smith, I love Spring Mountain, my favorite track along with Laguna.
Who teaches now? I've heard that Rupert sold the school, does he still work there? Who are the other instructors?
I'd also be curious to hear about developments at the school. I was thinking of doing a two day/level II deal later this fall, but don't know about the new owners/instructors etc.
Two good friends and I went in May this year. We own Zs and our reasoning was the same as most, we wanted to run in Zs.
Our experiences were similar to those already stated. Great instructors, curriculum, and track.
The instructors are still Dave and Victor. I got to talk to them at Infineon (Sears Point, Sonoma, CA). The new owner has several expansion ideas, including new Vettes. They were in the Corvette Corral with a new Z they had just picked up.The class size is going from 8 to 10.
Ruppert is still at the track but I don't know what his involvement is.
I will be going back for sure, hopefully at least once a year.
When I went the two main instructors were Dave and Dave, Victor was,, I guess, a junior instructor. Do you know the last name of the dave that's still there?
I did the level one 3 day in April and it was a great time and very educational . Anyone have a link to the new school web site? My Bragg-Smith one doesn't work any more. I can't wait to go back.
