Stock 01 Z06 goes 119.34 mph 1/4 mile !

Hey Guys , I took my stock motored 01 Z06 to the 1/4 mile for the first time since I installed a new tune from Predator (THX to Johan from Predator) and with just a BlackWing and a special intake scoope setup that I fabricated in our shop (the details will not be revailed about this part yet !) Our stock 01 Z06 went- ET's of
12.0's @ 119.34 MPH Air Temp 65 F , Baro 29.0 DA -100'
We had BFG DR's but traction was poor that day and the tires were spinning all of 1st and half way thru 2nd gear !( we will be installing a Line Loc system to aid this problem) the 60' was poor because of the poor traction with a 60' of 1.92 , we expect to have at least a 1.70 60' next time out and if the car maintains its 119 mph speed we expect this car to be running at least 11.50's STOCK !.... (Put that in your exhaust pipe and smoke it ! Cobra and Viper freaks)....
More to come soon guys and girls.

WOW, that's one of 'slow ones' too. And with the minor mods the professor is claiming....I'd call it stock also. Awfully impressive times, AND MPH!!

I think I've seen you around here before. How are you affiliated with the Predator manufacturer (Diablo I think) again?

First to you "timmayz" , Better look in your NHRA rule book and fine me the rule that says my car can't race in a stock class with a Blackwing and BFG DR's !
Now to "mjustmike", Thx buddy my friends and I were all very surprized that my 01 did so well, and if anyone who doubts it wants to see the slips I'll post them or they can come on over to L.I.N.Y. and we will prove it to them !
Now last but not least to your question "Z06cam", as far as my relationship to Predator I'm no more than a customer, but I was one of the first customers to get one and I gave them my input every-time I see some results from there tunes whether good or bad and so far all have been good !
Any other questions ?
I do attribute the great speed of our 01 to our new intake scoop design and that I'm positive of and I might just start selling them after the pat.pend is done

The only thing was a Blackwing filter,no pre-cats and some tuning with BFG drag radials.

Your 60' are alot better then mine , our track is closing this year and they are not keeping it up to par because its sold.
By your 117 mph speed I'd say with a good hook you'd run 11.70's, what rpm do you launch at ?

Good #s, not stock, and not a new product. Read the NHRA, I mean the topics before you post.
Moving to Racing.

Tom , your car sounds great !
Are you telling me the NHRA rule book says I can't run in a stock class with the BlackWing airfilter ?

I launch at around 4000 rpm's.I don't dump the clutch but use a quick realease.....5-10 feet.

We should start the "The Slow 01 Club" cause everyone knows the 01's are way slower then the newer ones Fadi can be the Prez.
