I promised many of you guys here that I would let you know how the E55 runs when I got it to the track. Well, I was at today's corvette challenge at E-town with a bunch of the guys. It was nice to see them all.
As I posted in the corvette challenge thread, I cut a great 1.881 60 foot time on my way to a 12.07 @ 116.85. Car is bone stock. All I did was lower the rear tire pressure to 25 lbs. And I kept the ESP (traction control) on.
I was as surprised as everyone.

05 E55 - 11.850 @ 118.17 mph, 1.760 60' - BONE STOCK on PS2's Slip
In a stock sedan. That's amazing! I hear the SL65 is dipping in to the 11's. You gotta love HP wars!
Yep, in a stock sedan! I didn't see Lorenzo's 12.07 pass, but I did see his first one of 12.3 and all I can say is that I was amazed. So smooth, so effortless, so damn quiet.
I have test driven an E55 before and I can tell you that there is a whole lot more boost in that car being left on the table. With some tweaking, there's no doubt in my mind that car can be an 11.7-11.8 car...stock!
There's a guy here in N. Texas who, being very fortunate to get a "good air" day here, ran 11.9 @ 116+ in a stock E55.
Call me very impressed. Great times Enzo!

Thanks guys. It just goes like a freight train. It has incredible top end. You really wouldn't have a clue that you were running a low 12 second pass while sitting there. Which is why I am surprised that I still have my license.
Renntech and another high-end tuning company make kits for the car that include a computer tune and a new pulley for higher boost. They are really expensive considering what you get. You can also buy headers for like $4,000, and a couple of companies make exhausts. I'm just going to leave her as is. Well, those are my present intentions anyway.
Nice runs Lorenzo! I was speaking to you w/ Don in the lanes @ Etown. That's some car you've got there, huh? It sounds like a ZO6 eater!! You're going to surprise MANY cars I'm sure. Ron

Thanks, Dr.Ron. I didn't forget you guys. I was trying to find you and Don after my last run, but I guess you guys were among the vette's that were staging.
Considering how surprised I was after that run, there might be a few guys here and there that will be shocked.
It was great to see so many vette's there, even if it made me miss my Z a bit.
