Summit Point Hotels

Does anyone have a recommendation? Never stayed there overnight - assume Charles Town is the place to stay, but the lodging doesn't look so good.

PM wazzzup (George) ... he's president of the Northern Virginia Corvette Club ... they do the two day time trials there each year and always set up Friday Tech at the Town House Motel in Charles Town ...
He should know some alternative places there or in other (Northern Virginia) places with good access to Summit.

Re: Summit Point Hotels

Hey Stuart,
Alan was there last week with the Porsche Clup and stayed at the "Town something or other" for $50 in Charles Town. Said it was clean and "OK". Also said there is a new Holiday Inn Express that looked "standard" for $70.
I know some of the bikers that run there stay in towns North of Summit closer to I-81 but don't know which ones.

He's asking when you're going. He said that Porsche group runs pretty good times...thinks you should have a go at it with them. After 12 track days his tires are starting ot give up.

Best to you.

Mel -
I'm going on Sept 10/11 with Schatterbaum Region PCA (http://www.schattenbaum.org/). They seemed to have room, but he'd have to check with the Registrar on that. Porsche Club's do put on a good show.

Say hi. Hope you're well also. Thanks again for the brake bleed info

Re: Summit Point Hotels

You may be referring to the TOWN HOUSE MOTEL.... I would go 1/2 mi down town to the NORTHGATE HOTEL 304-725-1402 They have plenty of trailer parking, give TRACK GUYS a discount, (ya have to ask for it) and the rooms are WAY cleaner than the ROACH---- I mean TOWN HOUSE
