Tire choices

I would love to use a dedicated competition tire for HPDE participation, but I have no trailer or tow vehicle (1+ to 4+ to 9-14 hrs away from tracks of choice) and loath reducing the life of a good competition or R tire by using it on the hwy.

Any thoughts on the above tires? (I'm using stock Z06 rims with GY SCs in 275 F / 295 R size at present.)

Thanks!

Sorry guys. Didn't realize the "POLL" option created a separate post. If anyone can tell me how to delete this one I will. (Don't know how for some reason.) Thanks!

I strongle recommend using a set of good, stronger and lighter race wheels from CCW, Kodiak or Circle Wheels and using either R or A tires from Hoosier, Kuhmo or Goodyear.

Keep you heavy OEM rims and expensive OEM tires for the street.

If you can't afford a tow vehicle and trailer there are other options:

You can purchase and mount a small hitch on the Corvette. Either a D'Lan or Draw Tite.

You can then get a small tire trailer or use a converted SUV/Truck game carrier such as like the Miata Tire tail
