Tire temp. probes

I got a Longacre tire temp. probe. No instructions were included.
On my hoosiers should I bury the tip into the tread or just put it
in the depth markers?

The real trick is doing all four tires (three spots each tire) as fast as possible before they have a chance to cool down.

This is true. It is better to have 2 people doing it, one to take the temps, another to write them down. The really expensive pyrometers do this for you, but not worth the cost unless you are a racer.

I would make a template so it is easier to record the temps.

Something like:
LF
Outside middle inside

LR
Outside middle inside

RR
Outside middle inside

RF
Outside middle inside

Of course this order assumes that you are starting at the left front tire and going in a counter-clockwise circle around the car. Do it however is best for your needs/preferences.
