:Seems to me that bradenton race track here in florida is gettig quite laxed in there track prep. two weeks ago i went there for tune and test .i got there first ,registerd ,put my numbers on and went right on line .the right lane had chunks of rubber on it for about 100 ft. it sounded like pebels hitting the inner fender well .right lane was a full half second diffrence from left lane .they allowed people to drive thru the water dragging it to staging area ,so even if you heated up your tires , you still had water in the stageing area ,it was obvious they hadn;t preped track from the week before .three quaters the way down track it started to go away , sand every where , every ones time sufferd .after spending 20 bucks on gas and tolls and 20 more to race ,and 10 bucks to eat i expect a little more. i wonder if orlando is any better? no matter how much hp. you put in your car , and no matter how much driveing skill you posses it;s all for nothing if the track sucks .
On Feb. 2nd we rented out Bradenton and the track prep was incredible. After each and every pass they swept the water box and added water. They also sprayed VHT several times.Oh I was there for T&T the day before and it was the same....awesome.....our track down here Moroso is a dump.

What's wrong with Texas tracks! Only one application of vht per night. Runs get progressively slower. It's hardly worth 4 hours each way to go race.

Talk to someone driveing a fast "race car" at your track tommy. You need to get the scoop from the points racers at the track you want to run, to find out the best track prep day. Going to your track when there is a points race, usualy is the best prep for most tracks, with the added benifit of race cars cureing the line, launching on 16-17 wide slicks on top of the vht will give the "best prep", hot race rubber "works", with the additional benifit of being able to ask the people that know real scoop on local conditions. Good luck! Ric

Bradento is almost ALWAYS prepped near perfect.....Wade works hard at it. Possible he was away that day & the crew was a little lax, but that would be VERY rare. Best track in the S.E., (Gainsville is great to, just that crosswind that hits you when you clear the stands moves the dragster around!) that is why it is not unusual to show up there on an off day and find NHRA's biggest names tuning there!

And if you are a dragster it is so bumpy that every now and then one of us crash and wreck a $40-50k machine! We have gotten airborne at the 1000' mark in the right lane hitting the patch bump, and we have to drive around the patches on the left lane. Horrible track!!!
The Moroso track get's double duty, the days its not a drag strip it's used for Justin Bell and road racing events. There is a hard left turn coming up the strip from the opposite direction. I think all the hard braking has rippled the track surface.

I agree 110%.....I didn't realize this until I went to Bradenton.....Bradenton is a kickazz track and their staff was great....they actually care as where Crapmoso could give a rat's azz.

That makes sense! That would cause the jump, I mean ramp, er bump! that causes some to crash!
