Optic, did you dyno stock before the Vararam was installed? Are the Vararam dyno #s SAE "corrected"? Any chance you could post your graph(s)? Sorry for all the questions, but these are important details.
As an aside, if your car makes 366 and Les' 372 rwhp on the same dyno (speculating?) then we can conclude that in fast moving air, you'd be somewhat higher than 372. This is one possible explanation of your higher trap speed at the drags.
Yes I do have the graph for the VARARAM dyno but not for the stock dyno. It dynoed 355RWHP and 350 RWT stock, I will post the VARARAM dyno graph today, I will see if the dyno can print me another from the stock pull.

Optic, what happened to the results you were talking about a few days back??.
If I remember correctly, you said 365rwtq, and rwhp over 380's?????.
Was that just a bad dyno, or ????
I'm seriously considering a VaraRam since I don't drive the car in the rain... (I know... I should be driving it all the time but it hardly rains in California!)
Ps... where did you buy your VaraRam and how much?
Thanks Optic, not too shabby. So, 11.5 rwhp from your Vararam alone apparently is how much your car gained from 100% stock. This is the first data I seen of this nature on the Vararam. Thanks for sharing with other forum members.
The rather interesting thing about your dyno graph is how the power curve rounds out and comes back down over 6000 rpm. This suggests there is still something restrictive to air flow into (or exhaust flow out of) the engine.
Most T1 dyno graphs I've seen show a somewhat flat line from peak power to redline, similarily suggesting that mod on the LS6 induction system is less restrictive "sucking" air into the engine.
Were there big blowers, or something similar, forcing air at your front bumper screens during the dyno session? Even if so, a big fan cannot begin to simulate anything like driving at high speed.
Just curious how Dyno Lab does there testing and why your power curve has that rounded, "hump-like" characteristic.
Yep my last dyno numbers were more, but the day was even worse for air, it was about to rain. As for the Halltech I know that graph very well, the TRIC made 371.9 on my 02, but it did not make the track numbers and that is all I am interested in. When I take it back to another dyno we will see what it changes to. I had a 8 mph fan infront of the car which I dont think is enough to do anything.
Optic uses a different dyno so it is not an apples to apples comparison on RWHP, but very impressive anyway, and I agree with the remark that suggests the Vararam makes its power while moving, hence the difference in Optic's trap speed and mine (1-2 MPH) even though in theory I was making more power. By its very design the Vararam intake charge should be cooler that the T1. I personally do not believe it is the "ram" effect, but rather lower IAT (inlet air temp) that makes the Vararam more efficient.
The Vararam goes on my car next Tuesday. I will have a dyno run first to confirm wideband and scanner (LTFT's) info as is with the T1, then same for after. My expectation is that the Halltech will meet or beat the Vararam on the dyno. Then I will have it at the track in a week or so (same one that Optic and I ran at last time) to compare trap speed with the Vararam. I will publish the results for your review. What I won't do is get into any peeing contest on which unit is "better" - as Optic and I have both said the T1 and Vararam both prove beyond a shadow f a doubt that they make more power then stock, and they are both fine pieces of work. The decision of what is best for you, and your tolerance for cutting shrouds, ease to return to stock, risk of hydro-lock as well as price/performance makes it useful to have at least these two alternatives, as well as the Vortex etc. which I am also sure is a fine piece, but I can't afford to test any more
Optic has done a few other mods recently so our comparisons going forward will be even less scientific, but I do plan to whup his ass next time out
Les
