The next American Super Car Challenge event will be held at Atco, NJ on November 13th. The sponsors (Kahunaville) will be conducting an indoor car show for the racers on Friday night (12th). The Challenge includes 5 classes from Original Street (12.5 second index) to a Modified Super Car Class, so whether you're stock, highly modified or something in-between there's a class for you. No ET Streets in the Genuine Street Class. Frankly, I think that we have too many rules. I just sent Ned (founder) an e-mail asking him to raise the index in Original Street from 12.5 to 13.0. Please send him one yourself about the ET Streets issue - I recommend that you point out that they are DOT legal. Also, tell him that the chances of you attending will be assured if you can use your ET Streets. He's very eager to improve the car count so will likely go along with a rule change. Sheeeeet, Jerry, too many rules and not nearly enough cars - I think there's a direct relationship there. It's a Vette vs Vette shootout most of the time. I'm bringing my Viper and the Z06. I'm not sure if raising the Genuine index to 13 is a good idea. I'm sure I'll be running 11s in a totally stock Viper. Stock Zs will be running well into 12s in that November air. I hope Ned will appreciate the fact that I'll be spending twice the money on entry fees to make sure there's at least one Viper there

I'm not suggesting changing the Genuine Street index (11.5). Ned recently added an Original Street class with a 12.5 index. Apparently the 12.5 is still too quick for many guys that would like to run. We need to remember that real mid 12 second cars are uncommon - 11s and 10s are truly among the elite. That twin turbo beast of yours is a one in a million machine.
I'm looking forward to seeing the twin turbo Z run. Are you entering it in Extreme Street (9.5)? There should be other Vipers. A guy that I met in Ohio (V10 MOJO on the Viper Alley forum) has a 9 second car and he plans on coming.
i'll be there.... maybe to race, but definately to watch. not sure what the "minimum" time of 12.5 seconds mean in the event page. it is that I can't go faster than 12.5 for that class, OR unless I run a 12.5 or faster, I can't race in the event.

You can't go quicker than 12.5 in the Original Street Class.
Genuine Street = 11.5
Serious Street = 10.5
Extreme Street = 9.5

A few beers, pizza, and I'll throw some cash to anyone who wants to help me out. I have a warm garage, 2 kitty cats and a cute, single neighbor across the street. :-) I have the kit, rpm switch, throttle switch.. i think everything I need, but if not, a speed shop is 10 minutes away from my home.
I'm screwed with the Viper because I should be running 11.7s so too fast for original street and not fast enough to be a contender in genuine street. But I'll bring it anyway
If we get the clutch issue resolved soon, I'll enter the Z in Extreme Street. I'll know for sure after November 1st.
I've given up on trying to get Viper guys to race. 25 Vipers will show up to a trip to watch foliage change and 2 will go drag racing. Go figure. Maybe we should have an auto detailing session after the races for the Vipers
Robz, you will have to run this one without me. I have a Corvette Challenge Top 16 (points racers) race that I hope to be running in and if I don't qualify I will be their to support it.
