I recently bought a good digital camera that also takes videos. So Since I can't stand outside of my car and shoot me driving by, I did the next best thing. I hope you enjoy it.
Forgot to mention, but that is pure stock. I didn't want to be spinning out all over the place, so I didn't rev the engine too much prior to launch. I think I had it around 1500 to 2000, then just stepped on it while popping the clutch.
Well they are not actually dead, I've just seen other people list cars that way and assumed that was the proper way to show the other vettes that you've owned. Though I almost killed the 92, when I discovered that it had too much power to try and turn a corner while not letting up on the gas, lol.
Holding the camera really wasn't that hard. Three fingers on the steering wheel while holding the camera with the index finger and thumb.
I agree with Garett. I really didn't rev it up that much before launch. If you are doing that, then you won't get traction. I really want to go to the track and see what my actual time in the 1/4 will be. From that video I got very close or better than the rating on them. Of course I think my nerves at the track are going to make me do worse, but each time they get better.
I did a lot of runs that day, but I can't believe that I wasn't trying to push the gas pedal through the floor. I've reviewed the video again and it actually looks like I barely had the gas pedal pushed at all before I took off. I'll have to pay more attention next time.
