Just saw on the car guys website for the August 24-26th event at VIR that any groups of 10 or more folks get in for the $150 off rate.
Anyone want to make it a Z06 and corvette track weekend??
Pass this on to the C5 website's etc.. and let's see if we can do it.

Great price for a great track!!! I attended earlier this year and was thrilled with the time I spent on the track. How much track time will there be?

They have 4 run groups with (3) 20-30min sessions each day. VIR is a very nice track and will test the drivers abilitys. I would be interested to.

I am defiently doing it since after the Open Track challenge on the west coast this will be the first track weekend I can do. Damn other non-car stuff.
I need to ask them if they need instructors or not? Don't know if they would honor my Nasa and BMW instructor cert.

I guess worse case some poor instructor will a bsicuit first time around with me probably.

I figure your looking at at least 4.5 hours of total time on track at speed. Not bad only about $100 and hour.

If we get 10 of us we can do it.
We'll just call us the Z06 Group.

I'll be at VIR North in July. That will be my 5th or 6th time there. I don't need to go anywhere else; VIR is a world-class track.

It sounds like we may have enough folks especially if you hit the C5 forum.
If this works for everyone let's do the following (based on there website policy with group specials we can't send directly to them and hope for 10 or more)
Send a check for $500 made out to Car Guys to me by July 1st (This way we should have no problem reserving space). Please send all detailed info, contact, address, year car etc.. I will need (CarGuys will need also). Email so I can confirm getting.

If for some reason we don't get enough folks I will send back everyones check or we will see if carguys can work something.

Obviously if we do have enough we will be setup under Z06 (or C5) Group. I will keep everyone upto speed.

spoke to you last week about vir. I just got back from a weekend at summit point with nasa. What a great event and the track was a lot of fun to drive. Hope to be able to send a check this week for vir, would like to try and attend the event.
