Ive been looking at quite a few sigs lately and im very dissapointed , h/c cars with gears running 11.70s , there are guys out there stock with good tires at a good track doing 11.50s , j rod / ranger etc , im doing 11.90s with bfg/ stock box , id hope if i put 3.90s or 4.10s id take off at least 3/10 s , i saw a sig in the 11 sec club doing 11.90s with 385 rwhp then isee they have 445 rwhp and only down to 11.78, seems like a lot of money spent and no results . It's all about getting the power to the ground and then driving. I've heard many stories about 500+ rwhp supercharged cars (C5's and Z's) that have difficulty breaking into the 11's, even though based on their power they should be easily in the 10's. Sometimes, to much of a good thing is not so good.
Your 11.90 and the H/C car's 11.78 isn't much, but roll up next one at 60 in 3rd and watch there taillights disappear into the distance. Not everything is the 1/4 mile.

Took the words out my mouth..
not everyone can drag race, but many more can punch it at the right gear from a higher roll showing the true power of the car..then see what happens..ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOM..

What's up, Jack? You thinking about giving lessons
I guess you just have that special 'something', bro but I'm sure that the rest of the folks appreciate you letting us know how good a driver you are.
btw, different tracks (or should I say track prep), different elevations and different DA's can produce different results for folks. Something to keep in mind....
I think alot of people that post bad times haven't been able to get to the track that often. Especially in modded cars. There is a certain learning curve that you have to go through after you add substantial power to any vehicle.
For instance, someone might add a head/cam package to their Z and only get to go to the track 1 time and the number they get they will put in there sig. But that certainly doesn't reflect the potential of the car. They could have had a horrible launch or the track prep could have been bad that day along with really hot temps and different elevation. These could all be contributing to the not so good times.
But I do agree that if someone is serious enough to mod there car they should take it out to the track and practice getting the best times out of it. For bragging rights and also to represent the Z06.

You also need to remember that ET is a reflection of driver ability and traction , where as MPH is a reflection of horsepower. I would gladly take a H/C car that runs 11.78 @ 128 mph over a bolt-on car that runs 11.75 @ 118 mph. What bothers me is when I see a car that puts a lot of power to the rear wheels on the dyno but doesn't run high MPH at the track.

I'd like to know why there are only 25 entries showing in the timeslip database? I could have sworn I added my slow slip to the database.

I think your topic is totally poorly written, if you "weren't" trying to start something. Then this continuation..... looks like you're your own personal hurricane. I don't think Mike needs to share an argument with you, I am sure you can start one with anyone.
