Wolfe 6pt Rollbar

Since my first trip to the strip netted me low 11s with no traction, I knew I'd need a rollbar or I would not be able to race. Since I had such great results using a Wolfe bar in my F-body, I decided to order a Wolfe 6pt bar for my Z06. Over the Christmas season, Wolfe had a 20% off sale on bars, so I was able to order a chromoly bar for around the price of mild steel.

The bar weighs just under 55lbs (per my bathroom scale)

The bar fits great, nice and tight against the interior of the car. I should have the seats in later today.

(sorry if the pics are slow to load, server is slow tonight)

I just got the rear carpet installed. I'm not 100% happy, but it will do for now. I'll post pics and more mod updates (output shaft, tranny/diff brace, NX install) this week!

WayneE,
That looks great

That's on mine list I will probably look into purchasing after my header install.

How long did it take to install?

Excellent job, Wayne!!! Why aren't you you happy with it?

And why did you prefer the solid as opossed to the removeable sides??

Thanks,

Tony

Casey/Tony, the sides are fixed.

I'm not happy with the way the carpet in the back turned out. I have minitubs and between cutting to get it around the rollbar and the tubs, there is room for some improvement

I just installed the same bar with the removable door bars. I'm ready to reinstall the carpet but I must admit I'm thinking I might call in a carpet man. I'm a diehard DIY guy but that carpet scares me. Thanks for the pics.

KC, I'm thinking about taking it to an upholstery shop and having it custom done back there. I'm the same way (diehard DIY), but the combo of the bar and the tubs is too much for me.

What did you do for harnesses? Did you install race seats? Cut the stockers for harness slots?

No harness or seat yet. I'm waiting to see what you do.

The look is awesome. The mounting feet are just bolted to the floor? So you have backing plates bolted too or did you weld in reinforcing plates? Describe how you mounted the cage feet. Thanks! Wolfe seems to make a great product. How does the door bar come in and out? Can you easily unbolt this of street driving?

By the way since you have gone so far for safety you really need a proper racing seat. It is an integral part of the safety ssytem
