I just took my 02 Z06 to the track last night and I can't believe what a big difference the LT headers made. My mods are LG street LTs with off-road X-pipe, Halltech Stinger CAI and Borla Stingers. The car has not been tuned yet so I am anxious to see what it will do after a tune.
Is it normal to pickup 5MPH from LT headers and a catback? Both runs were with Toyo T1R tires @ 30psi and on 80 degree days. I really need to work on my 60' times, I either bog the car, which I did to get these 60' times, or I spin them too much and end up with 2.1xx times.

Some of the 5mph gain may be due to some extra wheelspin on the launch and possibly the 1-2. The 60' time of 2.1 will likely give you a slight false high mph. Plus, the DA and track conditions an affect result especially on different days despite the air temps being very similar. The ET gain is nice. Keep at it.
I would do a minburnout and drop the pressure to around 22 psi and see if that helps. Try and be very scientific on your launches and know exactly what rpm and clutch release so you know how to correct for the next pass. That is the key to consistent launches.

Of course that only happened because I had more track time under my belt, track conditions happened to be better that day, I didn't have a nasty headwind, the weather was a little better, and the DA was riding a little lower..
I figured out the DA for both of my runs. The DA was 1473 for the 112.41mph run and 1774 for the 117.15mph run. It looks like I had a little bit better air when I ran slower.

Scott,
DA is "Density Altitude" which is the actual altitude that the MAP sensor is seeing. When I was at Bandimere Speedway last week with Ralph P for a test and tune the DA was hovering around 9200'. The hotter and more humid it is, the higher the DA becomes. Bandimere is already at 5800', so when the temps are in the 90's the DA becomes ridiculous.
At 3% HP loss per 1000' of elevation, you figure it out!
Most stock Z06's here are lucky to see the high 13's with an average driver. HTH Bro!

Is this what they use to get the SAE corrected numbers on the dyno as well?

Yes Scott, the SAE correction factor is pretty much based on ambient temperature and atmospheric pressure at the time of the dyno run. These are the factors used for determining Density Altitude.
