Well I had some issues before with not having any traction with my 315 bfg drag radials, to go along with my tsp long tube headers with catless xpipe and vararam b2 intake. My previous best was a 12.08 at 117mph. my 60ft times were a consistent 2.0 to boot. I borrowed a set of weld draglite xps with MT et streets and my problem was solved. First pass was a 11.5 at 116mph with a 1.53 60ft. The second run I I sprayed*125 wet shot* and ran a 11.6 because I missed a gear and I don't have a roll cage so I didn't want to get the boot. The next run I ran a 11.04 at 122 mph with a 1.6 60 ft. I ran another run after and trapped 125mph but the computer that takes the times was messed up and it said i ran a 8.8 and with a 3.7 60 ft time which I know is messed up. But at 125 I knew that was a 10 sec run but I won't know till I run again I guess. I was pretty pumped about getting into the 11's after being stuck in the 12's for a long time.

Great times, Roll bar coming soon !! How did you keep from getting the boot when you ran the 11.04 ?

My buddy and I were both running our cars and on the tech slip you fill out before you run I put my est. time of 12.0 at 116mph. I figured someone would catch it but nobody did. My buddy with his 03 cobra ran a 10.5 and no one said anything. Im sure the next time they will catch on to us.
Thats funny..we don't fill out slips here, they just call from the tower when you pick up your time slip and they tell you to report to the tech line. I got 3 runs below 11.5 one day, because they got side tracked with an oil spill..they thought it was my car but I was all over the track. I went around and told them, so they shut down the track and cleaned it. Never said a word the rest of the afternoon. Next trip a month later, 11.41 got me flagged first run. Not even a warning. Usually they warn you to slow down then nail you the next time. Really sucks, as fast as new cars are now days, that time is not low enough. Dang Roll bars add about 80 lbs and you have to cut up your carpet. But, it is-what it is.

I think I should be trapping higher though. I could be wrong, but when I head out to the track this weekend again im gonna sport the 150 jets and see what kind of a difference it will net me. Ive trapped 125 before, with the 125 jets. Anyone have any ideas tips about running the 150? Im planning on leaving the timing stock and just putting in about 3 gallons of 104 no lead to a half tank. We have 90 octane here in AK.
doesn't your timing need to be retarded about 3 degrees for every 50 hp ? I hope your watching your AFR..how did your plugs look after the last shot ? We might see the fireworks from Florida..haha

Lets hope you do not get a fireworks show lol. Im still running farely rich on the 125, about 11.5. Correct me if Im wrong but doesn't adding higher octane kind of offset the need to retard the timing?
