Re: Ernie King & Zturd beware

OK Guys,
my diff is back in, car is 95 % tuned...waiting on dyno tomorrow. I took it for a drive and tried to slip the clutch a few times with around 4000 rpm. Ha, what a joke....only about 1" of difference between sitting still and snapping your neck. Looks like it is gonna be about 17+ psi in the tires to keep the diff in the car (at least till this clutch get some more wear). If it doesn't break..and I CAN DROP THE PRESURE.....I can see some low-low 1.4' sixty foot times baby !!

Better bring the bigger slicks there Jimbo...haha.

Ernie, the wife said if you can't keep the tires planted with the new gear, she will show you how !! She is crazy too...you will see (keep your eyes off the boobs..haha) !!

Uvettya...better grease up the new heads...lol. Team Pitt is a Slow Train Comming...whoooo-whoooo !!

Re: Ernie King & Zturd beware

I haven't had a chance to track the car since the heads install, so I'll be experimenting. I also don't have a way to get my drag radials there, so I'll be running street tires. I can't see driving 1600 miles on DR's and they don't fit in the trunk.

Re: Ernie King & Zturd beware

Just a heads up guys, Beech Bend is not the stickiest track in the country!
Anyone expecting a new personal best will be very disappointed! Big smokey
burnouts do help some even with street tires, but even with liberal applications of VHT you are gonna get serious wheelspin unless you can slip the clutch some!
Steve, you really should take Ernie's advice and ship the tires there or ship them to me and I'll take them for you, otherwise you are gonna get a SERIOUS azz kicking and wind up having to buy everyone beers!
Pit, if you don't have a McLeod adjustable master cylinder for your clutch, ya better get one so you can raise the engagement point and have a better shot at being able to slip it and save your driveline.
I need another beer!

Jim, I already have the adjustable McLeod..it's not the level of adjustment. No matter where you put it..one inch is on and off switch. It is one clamping SOB.

I hear ya. BG will be my practice grounds I guess !! Just signed up for a........ 2 chevy's against a pile of Mustangs in November. I better be in the tens by then My buddy Mark of EFIAlchemy will be running his Pontiac I sent you pic's of a few months ago. He is like Zturd...keeps slamming out 11.2's over and over. Not bad for a six speed (being so consistant). He has to launch easy because of his rear end...it is a ten second car for sure.

Sheeoot, I'll prolly be buying beers anyway. I won't be spraying and my little ole 348 is pretty much out gunned by you guys with your fancy pants 418's and blown 383's. At least it won't be money wasted.

No Blown 383 here unless I do it at the track haha (that would hurt). Team Pitt is back on the road...my Z is back in the garage as of last night late. She is running a lot stronger that my sig is showing. A new tune and a replacement Fast has done wonders..so Ernie, Jimbo & Uvettya...get your game on boys...the vids are getting ready to roll..LOL.
We are going to have a WAR OF SPIN THRU FIRST GEAR..

If this rain moves on, I will get some practice runs this weekend or wednesday night. I am RUST plus some !!
