Going to pull the trans out this week to fix damage I did at the Winterfest Drags Last Saturday. Found a good outlet for hardened parts, so I'll probably upgrade everything to Level 5 specs while it's on the bench. We're thinking that I busted up the slider hub for 1/2 gears. I'll take pics and post them up once it's all apart. She'll be back soon better than ever!

That sux Jim, well at least fix her right and improve huh ! I saw where Zturd finally got his hands on his tranny. I am still waiting on heads....sigh !!!

BTW: I got word that Pitt's Truck is going to be faster than the Z...He says he is waiting for heads, but it's for the truck....So don't go out and spend a lot of money to beat him and the z,, you won't need it..

Hey Jimbo,
you might as well get ready for this view of my truck.. all the way down the track. If it comes out right this may be my Bowling Green Boy and the Z can stay at home and rest in the garage..LOL: yeadog:

I just ordered some parts for the trans today, billet keys and bronze fork pads. Still haven't pulled it out yet, so don't know the extent of the damage, just anticipating that it's the keys,,trans is a late '03 so its already got the steel forks and last time it was out I put in the hardened output shaft. Hope to get it out and on to the bench Monday at the latest.
I'll post up pics of the damage. As far as spending money, that's already been done!

He better put dead bolts on the doors of that truck so I don't suck the doors off that lead sled when I blow by him
on the track!

This is gonna be the best Fest ever!

Listen you two...we don't need deadbolts on our trucks doors here in the south, because not to many cars get by us to suck our doors off...(I gotta admit that was some funny sh*t Jimbo) ...LOL. Here is what typically happens on Raceday ! I cut off the ends so you guys don't know what is cooking down here, "but your fixen to find out"

1) You can hear the guy behind the camera saying if he was in the Silverado racing that Mustang...he would just walk away...ha, what a supprise he got !

2) Now this one you two can relate to because the Silverado happens to be blue (your favorite colors), and you will have the same view when the light turns green.

I'm curious how my car will run with good air. We typically have a DA of about 3000+ ft here in Phx, so count me in!

Great Uvette !!! We need a big turnout !! This is going to be a blast...plus you get the xtra benifit of watching a Southern Black Silverado Truck walk all over 2 blue vettes..

Well 11.58 in that air is pretty strong !! You will probably be happy with your results for sure.

Don't expect great conditions at Beech Bend. It's still pretty hot in Kentucky in September, and IIRC the track elevation is around 850'. Track prep there is marginal at best, but maybe we can chip in for some extra VHT! (don't hurt to ask)
And Pit Man is gonna be eating crow when he get his trucks doors blown off by 2 "blue streaks" and a "mean black Z06". Hey Pit, ya better bring the Z06 if ya don't want to get embarassed! (bring lotsa of beer money too!)
You're gonna need it!
