Re: Ernie King & Zturd beware

Hey, I know how you feel guys. I was sent out of a shop here in Phx with TWO brand new trannies and they forgot to put oil in both of them. (if you can even imagine that!) They went out of business before I knew about the second one so I'm eating that one. I drove it 7K miles before I discovered it only had about a pint in it.

So Jim, will just a ring and pinion fix you up or do you have to do the whole pumpkin?

So far it looks like just the ring and pinion, but won't be sure of that until we take the diff completely apart. I emailed the vendor I bought the gears from this morning and he immediately responded and forwarded my email to the US distributor for Motive Gear. I have since sent both of them the pictures and the US distributor has already gotten back to me and want's to see more pics as soon as I get it apart. So far I am very impressed with the quick responses and genuine concern of these folks. I will be sure to keep you all updated. No matter what the outcome, I'm pretty happy with the response from both vendor and distributor.

Re: Ernie King & Zturd beware

That's prolly good they're responding quickly, since their products are being discussed on a national forum.

Nice butt, Pit.

I have a set of cheapie blackout covers on my tail lights now, but you guys are worth better than that, and since you'll be seeing them a lot at BG I have a friend who works at a body shop and he's going to paint them for me (blackout). They'll look a lot better than the plastic ones I have on there now. I cut no corners for my Eastern, Northern, Southern and Mid Western friends.

Go! West!

Uvettya,
Lets hear that exhaust and see the blackouts. I need a mental picture of what I am going to blow by when I hit second gear !!!

Re: Ernie King & Zturd beware

Pitt, Jimbo, I was told yesterday that the rear will be shipped on Monday..The delay was that the gears didn't have a very good run in...I don't know...It just seems that every year it's something that causes me to get my stuff back late in the racing season.
I don't think I have been ready for the start of the season in the past 3 years..
