I don't know if it's been asked before, but I would like to know the fastest times ran by a ZO6 at a west coast track. I'm mostly interested in factory stock and typical bolt- ons (i.e. ca intake, longtubes, tb, etc., ) but would also like to hear from any and all.
My best was yesterday at Famoso Raceway, approximately 1000 DA, 11.84@114.12, 1.64 60ft., with Halltech Trap, LG longtubes and x-pipe with cats, LS-1edit, Spec Stage II clutch, 17in. ET Streets. My best factory stock was 12.35@114.11, !.88 60ft. on a very rare day at Famoso when street radial tires actually hooked fairly decently.
If your wondering why the west coast only, realize that the DA listed above is actually quite good for Famoso. It's not uncommon to see 1500 DA. So, the HP produced is significantly less here compared to what's produced with the negative DA numbers common in other parts of the country.
McRat ran a 11.90 @ 116.91 on Saturday a new best for the car but only by .02 since we added the 4.10's and Halltech trap. I think that came from his own weight reduction mod
My best is in sig with exhaust, ET streets, Zip-tie mod, and LS1.edit tuning by McRat
We run Carlsbad and California Speedway. We are rethinking the 4.10's or we well just have to add more HP mod's
There have been several improvements in the last year, and more to come. The track was resurfaced and is very smooth. The turnouts are also repaved. A new return lane in front of the stands (like in the old days) is planned for next winter. Pit resurface sometime after. The dirt entry to the facility sucks and the crew running things can sometimes be a little suspect. The air quality is typically bad. But the main thing is with slicks (cheaters in my case) the traction is close to glue. I was launching on my last run at 59-6000rpm with barely percept-able spinning on the initial hit only. My 1/8th. mi. was 7.59@93.36 without powershifting. I can't seem to get the mph on the top end though and I'm not sure why.
Anyway, McRat I met you last year at Palmdale for a West Coast Vette event. If either or both of you are going to come to Famoso in the future let me know and we can meet up.

Don't forget about Kat, 11 second momma she kicks azz and takes names at the track!

Sorry, Kat, but I don't believe you were at that particular event, something about sick kids and all, so I haven't had the pleasure meeting you. I'm looking forward to doing just that if you make it to Famoso sometime. Hope to see both of you.
Not sure how old this post is but I thought it was a cool and informative thread..
Only track I have gone to is LACR and the car ran a best of 12.55 @ 115.03 with a 60ft of 2.0x...Not 100% sure on 60ft though...
This was also done on 305 19' CCW's in the rear..
The only time I have gone there with this car , so not bad..
Other times were like 12.9 @ 112 /13.2 @113...Coudnt hook up that great...
ANY OTHER Z's please post your times...

12.55@115 at LACR is quite good considering your mods. Famoso is having their last T&T of the year (as I said previously, the management of that place is considerably suspect) this Friday, the 24th. I currently have been told not to return unless I agree to run 11.50s or slower and that is with a five point bar that they approved last year! (They claim not to have seen it last year even though they singled me out after a pass to check it.) There reasoning is my head is above the bar so not legal. I would have to install an aftermarket seat that sits lower than the stocker to get my head below the bar.
Annnnyway, my car has run 11.13@124.95 with h/c/i and all the other possible bolt-ons and 3.90s on 16in cheater slicks. I still like to know if another ZO6 has gone quicker on the west coast, n/a of course.

Amerkin, post the breakdown of that pass, please.
It might be worth getting a cheap seat$250.
The other safety reason is that the harness belts will actually sit correctly/work correctly over your shoulders.
I fell much safer in the aftermarket seat now. I originally had to remove the stocker for drag racing because I broke the recliner 3 different times on launches and was reclined for the rest of the run.lol

Rob, you wouldn't have that problem if you would quit trying to make 1.20 60' launches
Rob, I'll get that up as soon as I'm able. I'm a bit busy this weekend. Also, what seat do you have and is it a one piece with no recline?
Yeah, I went with the cheapest seat I could find. I think it's called Forza by Corbeau. Its a one piece, didn't want to have to worry about the recliner.
