Well I finally got out to a rental this past Friday. Track was okay, weather was warmer than I wanted. I had to detune the car alot to keep it from spinning. Basically I put in a fixed timing curve so I would say I was down a good 100-150 horse(car dyno'd 924 to the wheels). I won't be using Drag Radials next time out-this car needs a full Slick. I made 3 passes pretty much back to back at 9.5's. Put in the 900 rwhp tune and it just blew off the tires. Going to change the tires and get the BETA to control throttle angle from HPT and head back out. Here's the vid-this is detuned to I would estmate around 750 to the wheels:
I'll try to get the other video's too. It was nice to drive home with the AC blasting! I heard the air density was almost 2000 FT that day-it was pretty humid.
I'll have to get out on a good race day with full prep to lay down the 900 rwhp tune.

That's the nicest looking job of VHT prep on that track that I have ever seen.
Looks like you could lose a pair of shoes just walking on it. I'm very envious, bro!
Mike
btw, you were gonna come down for last years Fest and didn't make it. How 'bout trying to get there this year? We'd love to see your ride in person and watch you set the strip on fire

I was looking for the dates for this years event but could not find it. I would love to come out-last year was a real tough year with the passing of my good friend and engine builder Dave Diluca.
Your car looks like it's hauling pretty good too Mike!

Haven't had my Z out to the track for over a year. Problems with my aging parents have consumed most evenings and weekends so far this year but I really want to get out and try the new motor. I have no passes yet with this power level and I'm hoping for some good times when I finally do get out.
Sure hope to see you at this Fest. That beastie of yours looks badasssss.
That is with a Vortech? S Trim? T Trim? And, I didn't see much shifting issues. Are you running an auto? That was fast!!!
Disregard...Just saw your SIG, but, do you have a Procharger or a Vortech like your name? That launch was smooth!
Glenn, look closer at his sig and you will see he is running a Procharger F1-C and an RPM 4L65E conversion (auto). His launch was better than smooth...it was excellent!
Mike
(He originally had a Procharger logo in his sig but I had to edit it out since Procharger is no longer a supporting vendor here)
I see you are not even using a line lock on your setup. Curious as to why?
Mike
It's just one of those things Mke-I just haven't got around to it. I still need to wire up my TC lockup switch too-I have the wires just sitting there but just haven't had the time to put 2 connectors on them-lol!!!
Actually Mike-I jumped ship and put on a YSi, nothing against Procharger at all-they make a great blower, I just wanted to try one and the timing was just right. I'm using Andy's brackets but I modded them with HD idlers and a HD truck tensioner I came up with. I also converted the setup to 10 rib.
Another thing i'm using is the Cartek Flip Drive as well. This goes a very long way to reduce belt slip-the blower know get's it's own dedicated belt drive.
I'll post some pics.
