Insurance for drag racing?

How do you make sure that you are insured while running at a test and tune or legally at the track? I was hoping to get some advice before I call up my insurance agent and they deem me a high risk or something.

Going to break in the 08Z, but will be heading for Capitol or MIR soon thereafter. Thanks.

From what I've heard, no insurance company covers your car while on a race track.

Re: Insurance for drag racing?

As Zippy says ... most policies have language that suspends coverage while on a drag strip or road course. Would check the policy first ...
Drag Racing ... would seem that the only thing you can hit is the side wall! ...
All recommend leaving AH on ... and if you get out of shape, get out of it and let the car straighten itself out.

Now, breaking something ... that's different ... submit for warranty action ...

Thanks guys. Not a surprise, but I am concerned about

liability. Hopefully, and umbrella policy will cover.

Re: Insurance for drag racing?

Coincidentally, I was reading about HPDE single event coverage in the BMW newsletter today. I resisted insurance in the past since I only run 4-5 events a year and the prices were a bit high for a full years coverage. If you run BMW, PCA, Chin, or a few others, they will cover you. $28K stated value was $172 for 1-3 day events. I have no stake in this, but I'm going to use them for my next Road Atlanta event. A lot of bad things can happen there.

The link looks a lot like HPDEins locktonaffinity com
