Hey everyone,
Just in case anyone that lives anywhere near Maryland International Raceway wants to come out and watch a bunch of somewhat serious corvette drag racing enthusiasts beat the piss out of their cars for $hits and grins, please come and join in the fun at MIR on the date posted above.
There will be a total of 34 cars there and ET's will range from the 8's to the 11's. I'll be there with Norman heading up my pit crew and possibly Mike Martin and 2mchfun lending a hand also. Pit-man and Rick Addison are heading up from Florida along with Z06phile, (Dan Brown) who will be recording the event for posterity.
There will be a total of 34 cars, all C5 and C6 Vettes, full track prep for both lanes and some friendly "team" competitions. We have the track from 9am till 5pm and the weather forecast for next friday looks great and we should see some "mine-shaft" density altitudes most of the day.
This is a yearly event put on by a few of the avid drag racers from the northeast. There will be cars there from NY, NJ, PA, DE, FL, IN and me all the way from CO. No admission charge for spectators and the pits will be open to all who attend.
For me, this is something I've been wanting to do for quite some time and It'll be great to put faces to the names of all the crazies I've been corresponding with for years. Should be great fun!
