New rules enforced, need loops and blanket

Guys: I heard this weekend that Bandimere is enforcing bell housing shields and axle loops for C5's this year if you want to go fast.

There is supposedly a C5/C6 Kevlar bell housing blanket available and I have no idea if there are any axle loops available.

Can anyone help with sources?

Thanks!

Ralph, Does it say for which Tranny?? I wish I had one a 1 1/2 years ago..But I'm not sure how one would fit around the Bell Housing..

Ernie: I found a "universal" blanket at Summit. I don't have any answers to your questions. I remembered today that I sort-of know one of the tech inspectors at Bandimere so I will give him a call tomorrow to get the "skinny".

Re: New rules enforced, need loops and blanket

Ralph, Thanks, any info would be great.. For me I'm running a A4 so i'm not sure if they want a blanket for the Auto's as well.. I can see them for the 6 spd's as I know first hand what kind of damage the clutch can do.. But then again I'm not aware of many problems the C5's and C6's have had.. My understanding was that since the Vette's have a closed torque tube that they didn't have to have any loops or blankets..

Well I think the rules have been there but it is a matter of how an individual track decides to interpret and enforce them. Our track appears to be stepping up to more strict interpretations and enforcement. But I will let you know what I learn.
