Question about suspension upgrades for autocrossing a 2002 ZO6 in NCCC high and low speeds. I'm interested in maximizing the autocross potential but having a car that's "tolerable" on the street for occasional use. Currently it has -2.0 front, -1.3 rear camber with the front toed out and back toe in slightly, it's lowered a bit and has bilstein sport shocks. Handles pretty good, but I'd like even better grip in turns for racing.
So...I'm in the market to upgrade tansverse leaf springs swaybars, bushings, etc. I've read the posts in this section and would like to spend less than 3K for a substantial upgrade.
I understand the sway bar may make the biggest improvement. Do the T-1 sway bars, adjustable endlinks plus polyurethane bushings make a good combination? This will of course be done in addition to cornerweighing, adjustment of camber, etc. which will obiously be done afterwards.
Springs? I've heard there are 2 main manufacturers. True? Who are they?
Any experience with transverse leafsprings such as Hyperco springs by LGMotorsports or Extreme Springs by VB&P or Corvette Central?
I've looked at this thread http//:
z06.com from 2/25/2008 for some my decisions. he listed t-1 swaybars and poly/graphite bushings before spring upgrades...do these need to be done together for a "proper" setup?
Thank you for any info.
