Do I need to find a new alignment shop?

Keep in mind that I live in a state that has less people (350,000) than most of your countys and alot of your citys. So I don't have alot to chose from and they have done all my pers veh for years and seem to really want to help and let me work right with them.
But they said this was as close as they could get. They couldn't even get this close until I told them they needed to to use the custom section in the computor. After lots of time on the phone to the company rep this this what I got.
They are willing to redo it if I can get them more info on what to do or worse scenario find some one else.
I gave them DJ Worm's Autocross spec to use frt -2.4 camber, 1/4 toe out - Rear -1.4, 1/4 toe in asmap caster but keeping it even tighten everthing to 130Lbs

Re: Do I need to find a new alignment shop?

I noticed they left in a right Caster lead....which is good for crowned roads & highways.

If you want to fine tune the alignment for AutoX have them set the casters equal. With a relatively flat parking lot, airport surface or road course you are not concerned with the crown angle of the road

What type of alignment machine are the using? If you are not satisfied find some one knowledgable in race car set up using
1. the "String Method" OR
2. A Hunter machine

The machine is an Hoffman, I take it that you think they should be able to get the caster closer together or the same? The machine screen did show -2.4 camber but printed 2.5, I figured that it must be like 2.46 or something. If they can't get the caster closer then I need to find someone else. i am running my first event with this car Sat and I will check around a see who else I can find.

I think you mean camber, not caster.

Personally, I've found that straight line steering and braking are fairly insensitve to caster so that is the alignment spec I least prioritize.

I've also found that as the front lower a-arm's slide after on their bushings over time, it gets harder and harder to get max negative caster. I've also found that to get that much negative camber makes it hard to get a lot of positive caster given the orientation of the lower front a-arm.

All that said, I can get caster matched to within a few tenths in my garage using hand held tools. What I would do if I had your alignment specs is take some caster out of the right side to get it close to the left. This will also drop the camber on the RF, so that would need to be tweaked back in. End result, they should be able to get camber about -2.4 and caster about 4.8 on both sides.
