I'm leaving now for the long drive to Battle Mtn, NV for the open road race event called the Pony Express 100. I'll be staying in the Battle Mtn Inn motel. Hope to meet some of you there. I'm just going up to watch and help as a course worker the day of the race. I'm hoping to be stationed mid course at the Pay Phone Straight. There should be an emergency aid and flag station there to handle any problems with the course. Also, it is usually the official radar "speed trap". I'm hoping to operate the Stalker radar gun and pretend to be the "unofficial" COP for a day.
I think I'll take along my helmet and a portable fire extinquisher in my Z06. If things get too boring you'll know what I'll be doing to stay ACTIVE.
