1st Time storing Hoosier R-6's, any advice

I have a set of mounted R-6's with about 65 - 70% left on em.
Right now, they are inside at room temp on their sides and stacked.

Any advice on proper winter storage for these tires.

Thanks
Bill

Hey Bill, the best place to store tires is in a cool, dry location. (Basement, or possibly a garage). You can lay them down flat, stacked on top of each other, but no taller than 4 high. You can purchase ***edited***tire storage bags. This will protect the tires from natural ozone in the air which can cause tire rubber to dry and crack. You can also wrap each and stack them.***edited*** Mike

Sorry Mike but I don't believe that Tirerack is a site vendor anymore

How's the life expectency of the R6's? I'll be working my way up through NASA levels this year, so not really looking for ultimate grip (A6's), just long life.

My first set, I only got two days outta of em.
Turns out the alignment on my car was all messed up.

Since then, the grand poobah Mr. Popp has my car set up right.
I have 4 days on my current set and easily hve 50% left or a bit more.

I also have been using the Traction V formula. Seems to help with new like grip and reduces tire wear.
IMHO that is.

I put some of my tires in 55 gallon drum liner bags. The bags where just big enough to swallow a 315xR18 unmounted Hoosier.

I like the sound of that. Once I use up all the 710s I have laying around the garage, I'll have to try me a set of R6's.
