I just completed the 3-day, Oct 9-11. I would highly recommend Spring Mt. The instructors, equipment, and facilities are first-class.

One of the great things about this school is that all cars are equipped with 2-way radios, and instructors are stationed around the course with radios during open lapping, so you're always getting great feedback on your lines and technique.

It does meet the "driver's school" requirement for your SCCA license.

Arrived in Parhump on Sunday morning and stayed till about 3 pm. Everyone is so nice!! I was gonna leave at lunch time and was invited to stay

They were doing a photo shoot for Club Spring Mountain. So needless to say there were lots of cool cars as the pictures depict. Both owners were there too as well as the marketing Director for the Country Club Membership, Models and a TV crew. One of the Owners John flew in with his Helicopter and took the photographer up for some track photos!

Club member Fred with his Carrerra GT,

gotta love those pedals

A motorcycle Club had use of the North and South track also on Sunday

On the West Track a Level Two class was being conducted Victor in red instructing.

For the level One Class which began @ 8 am Monday October 9th "Columbus Day" everyone was excited and enthusiastic.

After everyone registered

we took a group photo

We had a very diverse group of participants which made it very interesting.

We had members from the gashole club, ZO6Vette member "Foosh aka Clay" on the far right

a Sports marketin Manager" Eric " from the Nevada Commission of Tourism, was given also a ride in a radical from John, as well as attending the 3day class

The oldest participant was John 86. No he did not get 86d He was 86 years young !

A retired Las Vegas Metro PD " Bill " loved the paddle shift C6 Z51
since he could not bend his left leg

and even both Owners mother-in-law took the course "Evie" (spelling) Yes! both her daughters are married to Spring Mountain Racing

This place has everything you need!!

Promising nascar left turn only driver "JJ" who recently became an instrucor was scoring points showing Evie around . Did I mention she is just 15 years younger than the oldest participant. There ,I didn't say her age

The instructors in red at graduation ( left to right ) Dave, Rick, Jordan, Victor and JJ.....Joyce receiving her diploma

THE TRACK

we were on the 2.2 mile course, ( the red course )for Corvette Track Days coming up November 4th-5th it was mentioned it will probably be the 3.1 mile course

The first morning we were filled in on everything that would be happening from Dave who oversees all the administrative functions of the school. He also is driving the Ferarri below.

I didn't take any photos while we were in class .cuz I didn't want to miss a word.....

.......this is another Dave who is one of the Head Instructors with a very dry sense of humor...........and mucho knowledge........

......I rode with him around the course in record breaking time luckily I brought along these and had no problem while they were on my wrist .....

which brings me to the skid car

.....great experience......I even rode in the back while Bob and Dave White were at the controls ..... crazy .............ask Bob what "Black Ice" is .......too funny.........what an experience.....

These are two brothers who took the course and come to find out we went to the same highschool at nearly the same time. I was a Senior while they were Soph and Freshman. I looked up in my yearbook and what a change ......lol... trying to figure out how to post their yearbook photos.......

of course I was a rockstar hippie .............In fact my driving skills are so good that I joined the ranks of Instructor soon after I had registered.........

........Why here I am flanked with fellow instructors Rick and Barry........notice my
pants match the color of the Helicoptor

Track buddies, Clay,Terry, David, Ron, Russ, Bob and Larry

.....More Pics--less talk ......enjoy.....

....................................Radicals

.................great food every day............

...........don't ever try turn 8 with the traction control turned off in a dumptruck unless you have completed level 3 as this participant found out

.... the last day I put my own car on the track and had myself as well as Instructor Jordan drive the beast........Yes I was scared...even though I asked him to drive at 65% which is still twice as fast as I am willing to go ........

........parade laps.......

A Big Thank you to everyone at Spring Mountain , including the Retail shop and all the behind the scenes personel...............You can tell these people Love what they do and strive to make our driving experience educational and memorable

from singing Happy Birthday to Eric, even though he drove a mustang

.......and a complimentary car wash performed by Ricardo.........( photo below far, far left left )

.......to the office staff.....and Trasi Pillman ThankYou!

.........until next time Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch .....a Corvette Forum Vendor.....it would be Great if everyone that purchased a Corvette took this course..........are you listening GM ............and a special Thanks to Janet Curan .........a true believer that we can All obtain our dreams !

........ I am glad I enrolled and experienced a new level of performance driving, I hope you all do the same ..........

see ya on the track
