Now I see why they call it "track." Because CRACK was already taken! Im HOOKED!.
Ran the saturday session at Cal Speedway (the infield). Great course, pretty tight in some sections but it had a stretch or two where you could really uncork the heat. And uncork it I did! An 800hp car on that infield course is like bringing a battleaxe to a playground scuffle.
First session, we're just out learning the line and taking it easy. Second session, the instructors started pointing us by and everyone immediately turned up the juice to the point where I had three spinouts right in front of me!
People: Sean at OC Corvette is the real deal. He has dialed in my car to the point where I raged on it all day, and other than a speed sensor going out, it ran like a charm. If you are in socal and you are looking to build yourself the real deal in terms of a fast car that is reliable, he is the person to talk to, bar none.
A HUGE thank you to Oli for very generously "donating" a set of dynamite pads to me. I crank the power up on the front straight away, and get on the binders hard, and pretty much reduced the ceramics to rubble. Oli let me have a set of XPs in great condition, which made the braking so much better it was unbelievable. Oli, I owe you a meal! Sooner than later!
Car: This car hauls balls. The nittos stuck like glue, the oil temps never went over 250, coolant stayed at 230 (and this is a blower car with an even bigger FMIC than the A&A setup). I was caning the thing HARD once I got in the groove, and people pointing me by..........lol........it was like they were stuck in reverse. I had a couple of people come up to me during the day and want to see what the hell I had in the car. Other than the instructors, I never got passed during the entire 4 sessions I ran. This car is a bull in a china shop, its the devil wrapped in plastic. Its.....phew. Even when I fudged a corner here and there, the sheer power of the car made up for a less than perfect line, and laying it wide open in third coming onto the straight.........yikes!
Best of all, when I was done for the day, I just threw all the stuff in the car, and cruised home with AC on, tunes cranked, and in total comfort.
Must! Go! Again! Need! More! Track!
Track good!

Welcome to the the club! Now you can get out while you still can or fall into the abyss like I have (membership at Autobahn Club,2001 Z06 fully track prepared, GT3, still street legal but lots of track time, M3 in the shop being turned into a SCCAT2 spec and a wife is getting into track days also!)
glad you're having fun with forced induction on the track, we've tried everything with mine, dewitts, coolers, shrouds etc. can't keep it cool enough where it doesn't want to back out timing.......so I'm doing the unthinkable goin from my 346 TT 710/640 to a 427 C5R built for midrange torque not peak hp.........but we're doin direct port just for good measure (and I just can't have less power than I have now) its addicting.....thats for sure, to the point I bought a trailer, then upgraded the tow rig........besides the smaller stuff (piles of rotors, pads, think i'm up to 4 sets of tires/wheels now etc.) of course wait til you go through good pads on stock brakes......then you'll want the big brake kits and then coilovers to top it all off......drag racin was fun.......street has too many risks........HPDE........most fun I have with clothes on, and better than most of the lazy ones in the sack too.

Re: I tracked it!!!!!!!
Kinda gives you an idea what the fighter jocks are talking about when they say turn and burn, huh? Sure is a lotta fun when you throw some of them twisties into the equation!
Now you know what it's like to be more than just hooked, you swallowed everything and got gut hooked! I know the feeling, you shoulda heard me screaming my head off at Firebird Raceway, during the WinterFest--"YEEEEHAAAAAAaaaa"!
Wish I coulda got out there...
