One Step Closer to No License Plates

BACKGROUND: Mid-America Motorplex

Ran this last weekend at Mid-America with NASA in HPDE IV.

PROGNOSIS: Ouch!

During the third session, and during a yellow, my engine just plum quit. No smoke; no loss of oil pressure. Preliminary verdict is a broken timing chain and potentially bent valves. Typical of the Colorado NASA gang, my Pit Boss Sweet Sue grabbed a friendly lift back with RayBob in the USS Minnow, while I stayed behind with the grounded FOXBAT.

RESULT: a new trailer in the family

Bought a great closed 22 foot trailer from John Hampel of Predator Custom Trailors and Motorcoaches out of Omaha. Folks I cannot say enough about this guy and his product.

BOTTOMLINE: peace of mind

John is towing the new trailer with FOXBAT out to Denver.

Sorry the car gave out... was the motor modded? Stock chain or aftermarket?

I know what you mean about piece of mind... I trailerd to my last VIR event for the first it was so much more relaxing to have the car pre-prepped and have a ride home.

I'm getting a texas rollback in the next few weeks so I can stop borrowing.

Sorry to hear about the motor. This is why I traded my Ram SRT-10 reg cab for an Avalanche, so I can tow the Z to HPDE's.

Wow Bill, that just plain sucks! Time to see just how good DRE stands behind their stuff! When I do my stroker next winter, I am going to build it myself, so I KNOW exactly what is going into it and how is was assembled! When it comes to modding my car, I trust No One!
