Orange County Corvette will be hosting five 2-car garages at the July 28 & 29 Cal Speedway event. (Garages Available are available for our Corvette group)
Here is their announcement....
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Orange County Corvette will be in full force at the Speed Ventures California Speedway event on July 28th and 29th. We will be offering free garage spaces for Corvettes only (up to 9 cars available), food, refreshments, and technical support will also be available. We will be offering free instruction with very experienced drivers. This event is a great opportunity to drive at a famous race track.
If you prefer not to drive, you are welcome to come and join us for fun, food and rides.
To reserve a garage, call the office at 949.830.8388. To sign up for the event go to SpeedVentures website. Spaces for the event are filling up very quickly!
Yes, we will have a place to sit down and talk performance stuff, driving technique and tell lies about our driving
Yes, OCC will be helping us out with technical stuff and tips on the cars
Yes, OCC will be providing free laps around the track if you want to ride along in one of their Corvettes
Yes, they are running a performance driving clinic if you want to get in on that
And best of all it is free to get into Cal Speedway and the hosted garages if you call Orange County Corvette for an invite.
Or go to the Speed Ventures website to sign-up if you want to drive the track
There are only a few spots left for Saturday and a few more than that on Sunday, so if you want to drive the track, you better register right away. If you just want to come and hang-out. There is plenty of room for that.
We already have 11 Corvettes registered for this event. We have more Corvettes than any other make/model of car. How cool is that. We will be trouncing all the other cars for two days.
Re: A special Cal Speedway announcement for Corvette Drivers

Re: A special Cal Speedway announcement for Corvette Drivers
For those that haven't done a DE, I highly recommend them.
I also encourage those that are interested, but just not quite sure to go watch one. I think that you'll find that they are all well run, allowing each driver to run within their comfort zone, while getting to experience what this car was really designed for in a legal and relatively safe manner.
Re: A special Cal Speedway announcement for Corvette Drivers
Plus people going to this event will get to see some nutball piledrive the straights in an 800hp Z06, and go off at the first corner when his GM ceramic pads prove as useful as a cup 'o spit in turn one!

Re: A special Cal Speedway announcement for Corvette Drivers
I talked to Aaron of Speed Ventures a little while ago. He is showing 21 Corvettes registered. Woo Hoo! Our group comprises just over 25% of the field of cars on the track!!!
Aaron says there is one spot left on Saturday and 13 spots left on Sunday. I bet those last 13 spots get snatched up by tomorrow night by last minute wafflers waiting to decide whether they can go this weekend, or some parts come in, etc. I know I have two friends, one in an Ariel Atom and the other a Beemer, who are planning to register tonight for Sunday driving.
So if you want to go, you better register now.

In other news Sean from Orange County Corvette says: Well we had such a good response that we added more garages. We have 16 spaces in all. Let me know if you want a spot.
