Spring at the Carousel with Porsche Club

Are any of you doing this event at Mid Ohio?

I've never run this track and wanted to see how other vette owners like it. I'm a regular at VIR, and that is what I'm used to. I'm wondering how the track compares overall for our type of car?

Re: Spring at the Carousel with Porsche Club

I run there every year, is that with MORPCA? I am trying to decide over that event or the Viper Club one in May.

I have been to VIR a few times, differences being well, the BIGGEST is Mid OH is a very technical track, shorter than VIR, lots of camber changes and lots of spectator seating to run into
As much as I loved VIR when I lived closer to it, now that I am by MO I have to say it's the most challenging track I have ever been to, and it will definitely keep you on your toes! I ran MO last wknd with another PCA group and the track is in excellent condition, May will be the perfect month to go.

Thumbs up Re: Spring at the Carousel with Porsche Club

I just got back from this event at Mid-Ohio Raceway. If you haven’t run this course it is a must. At first the track can be overwhelming with all the blind corners and off camber turns, but once you string a few of the sections together you won’t be able to get enough. The Corvette can put the power down in some sections that the Porsches tip-toe due to the weight distribution but there is a section for every tip of car and drive to shine in.

You must put this track on your list.
