stock brake pad life

Well I've got 6000 hwy miles and 2 track events on the stock brake pads. Got paranoid so I checked...I pulled the R side wheels and checked the pad left:
outer pad (less there than inner) thickness front 4mm, rear 6.5mm..
That's 0.16in / 0.25in
This is plenty based upon the manual (0.03in min)..

So they should last a few more events. Any comments on wear and at what thickness to replace (yes, assuming I don't want to upgrade sooner)..

Conventional wisdom for track prep is to replace the pads when they get below 1/3 of original thickness. The last third goes faster; more heat is transferred to the pistons and thus fluid. I'd say put new fronts on. If you don't run with AH on, the rears should be OK> If you do run with "all on", might swap the rears as well.
Keep your take-off's around for contingency spares.
If you're going to be tracking regularly, ... may look into one-piece pads ...
