Quick question. I want to pick up a dedicated set of rims for track days. Are 18's on all 4 corners the best setup? And what rims should I be looking at on a moderate budget? I've heard that the stockers are pretty good in terms of strength/weight.
I just bought another set of stocks for HPDE use, but if I did it again, I would go with four "rears". This will give you the ability to use cheaper scrubbed tires for all four corners, not just the rears. Live and learn.

So just to clarify, will the 295/18's fit up front on a C5Z, no problem?
Also, I found a company online that sells "reproduction" C5Z rims. They look identical to the OEMs, but I was wondering, what's the difference between OEM and repro in terms of quality and weight? I'll email the company and ask them directly, but I just wanted to ask here too.
Edit #1: Ok, I found the answer to my question. Apparently, the repros are indeed heavier than OEM.
Edit #2: And now I found the OEM Speedlines that I was looking for originally. Cool.
I run 18" all around. 275/35/18 Nitto NT01. They are on the smaller side but I wanted to make sure there was not going to be any rubbing. I bought 2 full sets of after market rims (black Z style) in the stock 17" front and 18" rear from 2 friends and then I sold the 4 - 17"ers to a friend who auto crossess.
