Track Day Road Atlanta

I just wanted to say how much fun I had this weekend at Road Atlanta even tho I didn't run my car,but I saw alot of awesome rides that looked even better on the track. I should have run this last weekend(my fault) but I will run next season. I met alot of real nice people that just love fast cars and most of them are not wanting to get in trouble(crash)and are there just to have a good time. I hung out with the guys at MTI and met some super nice corvette people. MTI was there running there cars always trying different things, and seeing what works and what doesn't work. Thats why I think MTI is the greatest shop for the corvette because they are out there running at the track to develop parts and tuning to get the most out of your corvette,so you know when you the customer buys packages it will wok because it has already been tested. Of course MTI had the fastest car out there (06 Z06)by a pretty big margin.

Re: Track Day Road Atlanta

Who was putting on the track day? Was it a test and tune or race event? I ran Road Atlanta in Aug and it was too hot and too crowded on track.

Re: Track Day Road Atlanta

From what I understand Skip Barbar did the event. They are not sure what or if they are doing any track events next year. I for one hope they are since I live close to RA. The weekend went well from where I was standing. A couple of cars had some mechanical problems, but there where no crashes or get offs that I know of.There was some very fast corvettes out there and some very fast 911's also. All in all there was a great mix of some very nice cars, and the great thing was even tho they where street cars they looked like belonged on the track.
