Hey guys it's been a little while since I posted here. I recently went to a couple of track events at Willow Springs International Raceway (WSIR) and the Streets Of Willow (SOW)which is part of the same complex, please excuse wind noise.
Was that a Datsun 510 (the green one) in front of you for the first two minutes or so until he lost it? 69 Datsun 510 was my first car. Pretty cool to see one still around and being used properly.

Yes that was a little 510 unknown year. there were at least 2 of them out there. Did you know that the 510 is a former SCCA champion?
Looks like fun. What Z06 do you have C5 or C6? Ive thought of going there a few times. I liked the wind shield wipers. It looke like you stayed in 2 gears....were they 3rd and 4th?

C-6, 3rd and 4th gears are used because of the cars power you can get away with just those two
Thanks for posting
I watched a bit of each last nite (can't run Utube at work)
WSIR definitely looks more suited to the Z than SOW ... the latter keeps you busy! Guess you distracted the 510
Love the run-off room!
Three weeks to my first track day this year! ...

Great driving. That karting experience really shows on the track.
I bet you are the best driver in Los Angeles law enforcement.
What were your lap times on both tracks?
What did you think of SoWS?
Oli
Thanks Oli, both SOW & WSIR were in the mid to low 1:30's on both tracks that's kind of strange you think Oli?

Yes IMOP the Vette is more suited for WSIR :however: Oli believes that SOW makes you a better driver and after driving it a few times clockwise and counterclockwise I have to agree, although I'd rather be on the big track it's the ultimate rush

Low to mid 1:3xs on WSIR is making good time. I am sure you have some laps under 1:30 in you on SoWS once you get it dialed in. You really need to get car rotation and slip angles down on that track to get under 1:30.

I was told that the times for counter clockwise on SOW are faster on average than clockwise, is that true?
