Yeah....when I was passing somebody on the banking while doing 130+ it really made me focus, and that was only 2-abreast!! It really does make you have a lot more respect for those guys going 185 and 3-abreast, 6 inches from each other and 6 inches from the wall!!!! :eek:
I was at VIR. I had my camera mounted up in the right corner of the windshield, as you can see in this video:

I was reading about one of the racing series (ALMS??) and they required onboard cameras. There was a spec that required the camera to have a certain field of view out the front, and it also required that it viewed and recorded steering wheel inputs.
After reading that, I decided that I would like to have that info for analyzing my own driving, so I moved the camera as you can see in the Daytona video. You don't get as good a view of the track, but I can still see the line I'm driving, where I'm turning in, etc., plus I can see if I'm being smooth enough with the controls.
I'm already looking forward to running Daytona again. I'll be at the Dec 12-14 event and I think there will be a lot more Vettes there!
