Business trip to Germany

I have to travel to Dinkelsbuehl Germany this weekend for a week of work for business. I don't get to rent a car or drive at all. How painful is that for a car guy? Darn. And the hotel I'm staying at was built in the year 1300. I'm thinking oh no. I hope the mattress is newer than the hotel.

Please be careful of the women. Glenn has been over there for a couple of years so I think they are pretty much all ruined.

Seriously, have a great time. Please post some pics.

Re: Business trip to Germany

Been to Germany before, Steve?
Give us your impression of prices.
I haven't been since '85 and a colleague of mine who left same time was back last year ... said "sehr teuer!" (expensive)
You flying in to Frankfurt or Stuttgart?
Spring should be breaking out in upper Bavaria ... you're going to a nice area ...

3 months too late or I could have met you at Frankfurt since it was just 20 minutes away! Don't mind Norm.... There are plenty of women available..... And most of them have no teeth. Hahahahahahaha

if you have any time off, try and get on teh Rhine River Cruise and see the castles. It begins in/around Rudeshiem.

You will enjoy it.....

Nurburgring is just 90 minutes from Frankfurt if you get any time away.

Have fun!

Re: Business trip to Germany

Hey Pro, you owe it to yourself to drive the Autobahn at least once. Rent a car on your own if need be at least for an an afternoon.

Good travels,

Good travels,
Yes I'm here in Germany. Yes I want to rent a car and go driving. The Taxi driver showed me a rental place, and he told me to rent the Audi R6. His English was bad so I'm not sure that's what he said.

Multiple cruise ships start at Koblenz and go south to the castles. Youo can also go up (west) on the Mosel River. The picture below the cruise ship is turning west onto the Mosel from the Rhine.
