GM Brings Back Employee Pricing

CNN just reported that GM will bring back employee pricing for everyone starting tomorrow (I'm guessing Corvettes will be included).

Good news for those planning on buying a new car.

My guess is also that they will be included. 0% is supposed to expire tomorrow and there are still a high number in stock they need to move with the 09's out.

Re: GM Brings Back Employee Pricing

ONLY dealer stock 2008's is the word we got.
Were putting $45 K down and found 4.9% at our CU.
Our FICO's are 800 and it's the best rate we could find so far.

Dealer said it's better than anything he can offer.

Another local dealer here is awash with picked-over, lot weary C6's.

Re: GM Brings Back Employee Pricing

With 283 new 2007's and 5492 new 2008's still on the show room floors I'll bet GM will offer more than GMS pricing. Out of the 5492 units over 1200 are Z06's.
Bring on the 09's and lets get these in on the new incentives. Maybe when the 010's hit the showrooms, the 07's will be sold???

The ones I have seen were $10,000-$11,000 off sticker. Now is the time to buy if you are looking for a new Z.

Re: GM Brings Back Employee Pricing

So how does this employee pricing thing work? Do they have rules against a GM employee buying one and immediately selling it to a non-employee?

novetyet:

From what I've heard, the employee pricing is for anyone. Yes, anyone can purchase one at the GMS price.

AOL reported GM is sueing employees that buy for other non-immediate blood relatives.
Their is a rule against "fliping".

The story went on:
GM mentioned they are so far seeking $450.000 in recovery for mis-use of the program on 2008 and some 2009 vehicles.

Money ranges from $2000 to $9000 per incident.

Re: GM Brings Back Employee Pricing

GM extended this deal for September. My question is this , can you get a dealership to sell for less than employee pricing on an 08 corvette? I offered 40,000 for a c6 coupe that msrp for almost 49,000 and had employee pricing of 42,000. They said no can do! What do you think? I've seen Kerbeck sell an 08 coupe that msrp'd for 48+ for 39 and change a month or so ago.

Re: GM Brings Back Employee Pricing

I got 12,000 off on a 3LZ. I just didn't see how I could pass that deal up!

Yes they can if they want to. When they sell at GMS they are still making a profit. It just depends on how bad they want to sell the car.

If they tell you they are not making money when they sell at GMS they are not telling you the truth.
