New Corvette Magazine??

I Would Like To Start Up A Corvette Magazine..
It Would Only Cater To Original Corvettes..survivors And Restored Ones...what Do You Guys Think.....
nO CUSTOM VETTES IN THIS MAGAZINE...
ANY THOUGHTS?

I think there may be a market for it, but you are getting into a "sub-market" of a larger market. does that make sense?
I know the popular Corvette mags have articles spread out over most of the Corvette generations and there are certainly those Corvette enthusiasts that wish there were more articles catered to their restoration, of a 1968 for example, and they patiently wait fro the next month issue to arrive hoping that the article they need is there.....if you are looking to fill that void, then I think there is a market, although, a smaller one.

I would think your subject matter would be very limited. People may be interested in old vettes whether they are original or restored but I don't think there would be much interest in stories about original post 70's cars. Hey but what do I know. Good luck if you decide to go ahead.

Do you have any contacts in the National Corvette Restorers Society (NCRS)?
They currently go from 53-93. Bloomington Gold is a big deal for NCRS folks and what might be your target ... :idea:

Corvettes have been around for 55 years..
I have alot of stories and cars to talk about..
How about an article on Nabors Bros restoration..I n texas
Anyone seen their shop??

Having some experience as a freelancer, I'd have to ask you a few questions...

1) What is the circulation of "existing" Corvette mags?

2) Assuming you're interested in news stand sales, does ANYONE currently publish a magazine dedicated to ANY ONE original/restored Special Interest Marque? Mustang? Chevrolet? Ford? If NOT, why not?? If so, what are their circulation #'s?

3) Muscle Car Review, the "original" original/restored news stand magazine that covered ALL makes, was discontinued for awhile after Dobbs sold to Primedia, to be resurrected as a "special", then monthly. Even it (and Hemmings Muscle Cars) venture into "slightly modified" territory these days...it broadens not only the readership but, most importantly, the advertiser base...and when you're fighting with the GIANTS for rack space and ad buck$, you'll need ALL the "help" you can get...and Summit spends faaaar more on ads than ANY Corvette-centred company...

On-line, first, might be a wise, relatively inexpensive (comparatively...) route. Grow it, slowly but surely, adapt as required, and go to hard copy, if and when...

I believe there is a market for it...
I will start on the computer first and see how much interest is out there..
Bloomington Gold is the biggest corvette show in the world..
Almost all of those cars are original..
All of the super high priced corvettes are not only original..but have documents to prove how original they actually are...
I will start off slow to test the waters..

I welcome anymore opinions / thoughts
