Leslie so sorry to hear this about Stephen but you both are certainly added. I know Stephen has come a long way and the road ahead is not predictable, but with you on his side he can't go wrong!!! Stay strong and keep your head up.........You're awesome!!!

I just got home from a very long day, they let me have 5 minutes on the phone with him and it just broke my heart!!!

Steven goes to 'day treatment' school at a large mental health facility, he was asked to read to the class. (keep in mind he's in 7th grade and his reading level is 2nd grade). He was asked several times, I guess it was too much for the little guy and he blew. Well...one event led to another and he just 'took off'.

I can't thank you all enough for the prayers, I want to show this thread to Steven and show him even though he has lost a father (heart attack last year), a mother (lost rights to all 15 kids) and lost contact with MOST of his siblings-he IS NOT ALONE!!! People CAN and DO love these kids, I truly believe there is a God and that each one of us can do a small part to help save a life, influence a child, help someone less fortunate.

At the fest I realized how LUCKY I am to have sooo many friends! I have always been down about not having parents, but I know as a 48 yr old child I have LOTS of parents when I go to the fest and I LOVE IT!
