Talked to Tom's son a little over 3 hours ago, shortly after he got out of surgery. The surgeon at University Med Center in Tucson did not have very good news. After repairing the heart valve and doing a bypass to fix the artery that they inserted the stent into a few weeks ago, they determined that the heart muscle is in pretty bad shape and is only about 50% of normal. At the present time Tom is on life support and they are giving him a 50/50 chance of recovery. The next few days are critical and he really needs all of our prayers. Please think of him and include him in your daily prayers. I feel that with all the positive energy coming from his extended family here he'll have a great chance of coming out of this in good shape!
